I already figured out what’s the problem! The soil itself is infected with a pest! I remember that I placed a cloth in every pot and box to prevent soil erosion. However, according to what I’ve read, cloth in contact with soil increases the moisture driven pest attack.
Therefore, I will dry-up all the pots and box so the pests in it will automatically die too. I prematurely harvested the previous batch of Pechays.
I learned that it is better to record and post calendar to remind of the exact age of the plants. This can be as simple as paper and pencil clipped in stick and erected near them.
Now I’m more excited to learn new discoveries with the fourth batch of Pechay planting experiment. I have already prepared the replacement seeds, they are now four days old!
